RELEASE: LOCAL CHURCH CONDUCTS ANTI-ICE TRAINING

RELEASE: PROMINENT LOCAL CHURCH SUPPORTS ANTI-ICE TRAINING:

December 4, 2025

We were both surprised and deeply disappointed to learn that a beloved local church will be hosting an Anti-ICE training event here in Laurinburg. Trinity Presbyterian Church (1300 Blues Farm Rd., Laurinburg) has approved the use of its facilities for an event organized by SiembraNC.

Background:

SiembraNC—part of the Globalist-Migrant Sector of the Marxist Social Justice Movement (MSJM)—is headquartered in Raleigh and maintains multiple active chapters across North Carolina. The organization’s activities include promoting distrust and fear within immigrant communities, monitoring immigration officers, and publicly reporting officer movements. These practices directly undermine lawful enforcement efforts and heighten the risks of harassment, doxxing, and physical threats against officers and their families. This environment is one of the key reasons ICE agents now feel compelled to conceal their identities for the safety of their families. Our federal and local law enforcement officers deserve to carry out their duties without intimidation, obstruction, or fear for the safety of themselves and their loved ones. (Screenshot from SiembraNC’s website indicating Law Enforcement is inherently racist below).

While we expect to see these activist efforts in Raleigh or Charlotte, it is concerning to see them take root in our own community. It is even more troubling that a respected and long-standing church would choose to facilitate such an event. We confirmed that the Trinity Presbyterian Church Session met with a representative of the group, understood the nature of the event, and still approved it. How such a decision aligns with Christian principles—especially regarding respect for lawful authority—is difficult to understand.

Obstructing ICE operations does not protect our Hispanic communities; it keeps them in danger. Illegal criminals and gang members most often prey on other Hispanics. The Trump administration has already recovered 13,000 unaccompanied children who crossed the border, many of whom were in the custody of smugglers and sex traffickers. How does a church, of all places, justify the continued use of children as sex slaves and violence against our Hispanic citizens? Moreover, there are millions of individuals patiently awaiting legal entry into the US, who are being disadvantaged by the influx of illegals allowed by the Biden administration. This situation is unjust to those striving to enter the country lawfully.

If you feel compelled to take action, we encourage you to contact Trinity Presbyterian Church and respectfully express your concerns. Many of us are members or have children in their school and daycare. It is essential that the church’s use of its resources—including tithes and tuition—reflects the values of the families who faithfully support it.

Email inquiries submitted through Trinity’s website have gone unanswered.
