Send a Message about Absentee Ballots

One method of potential cheating in North Carolina left over from the 2020 COVID-19 election disaster is 'signature matching' for absentee ballots.

If you agree that the signatures on the mailed in absentee ballots should match the signature on the voter's record, please comment on the North Carolina State Board of Election website. It was very effective last year when we made public comments.

Message from the NCGOP: The crooked Democrats are actively trying to meddle with our elections, AGAIN. The Democrats couldn’t do it legitimately through the ballot box, so King Roy’s bureaucrats have ILLEGALLY changed election rules to make it easier for Democrats to cheat.

As Republicans across the State are fighting for election integrity, Democrats are DESTROYING free elections by getting rid of our election safeguards that are in place to ensure that good government prevails. The Democrats want to WEAKEN our election process by prohibiting the comparing of voter’s signature on their registration file with their signatures on absentee ballot request forms and absentee return envelopes.

There is no right more BASIC in our democracy than the right to participate in electing OUR political leaders. STOP the Democrats from tainting this great State’s election process.

 Let them know that GRASSROOTS REPUBLICANS WILL NOT STAND FOR BUREAUCRATS MEDDLING IN OUR ELECTIONS.

Proposed Text for YOUR Public Comment:

"Dear Board of Election Members,

I am writing today in support of the NCGOP’s position. Depriving the county boards of elections of the basic tool of matching signatures, is not only wrong, it undermines the integrity of our elections. Signature matching is a crucial safeguard to ensure that North Carolina’s elections are free and that only legal votes count. North Carolina law requires that absentee request forms and return envelopes be signed by the voter, so it follows that the county boards should be able to use all resources at their disposal to verify that signatures are those of the voter. As a North Carolina voter, I implore you to rise above partisan games and issue a written opinion allowing county board members to compare signatures on absentee requests and absentee return envelopes. In this State, and this Country, it should be easy to vote and hard to cheat.
