As a Christian wife, mother, and a successful local business owner, I have a unique insight into both the rewards and challenges we face in Scotland County. As a life-long resident, I have watched good manufacturing jobs disappear due to government overregulation. Through my dealings in real estate, auctioneering, personal property appraisal, and pawn brokering, I have established trust with people in the community from all walks of life.
I have witnessed the poor faced with the highest unemployment rate in the state struggle to find jobs. I have seen our citizens struggle to earn a living in one of the poorest counties in the state with the highest tax rate. I have seen families destroyed by drugs and are forced to deal with the second highest crime rate in the state. I have seen people forced to sell personal treasures just to make ends meet. I have always tried to help those people in need but I have been called to do even more.
For these reasons, I have decided to run for Scotland County Commissioner in 2024. I can think of no better way to help the citizens of Scotland County than by working to solve those issues which have plagued our community for far too long. With your vote and support, we can make Scotland County safe, lucrative, and a place to be proud of again!
